(...fast...) is a relative term based on personal experience, perception and surroundings.
I don't own or use a transponder, nor do I have an onboard lap timer. Neither are essential for a good time at a track day.
I only own one pipe, considering it is a Ti Muzzy and that Leguna has a 92 decible limit, I could not go WOT up the hill, under the bridge between 5 and 6. That would also give a "false" lap time.
I was Black Flagged for exceeding the limit so I know they mean, and that they enforce it.
But I can tell you that even though R1's and 996's can pull on me in the straights, I could count the stitches on their leathers in the turns. I'm not the fastest, was not the fastest, don't claim to be the fastest...just fast enough.
(I did get by that R1 and 996 eventually) [
