Just rebuilt a a 1997 Lakota that was burning oil. Replaced the whole top end and yet it still burns oil. And a lot of oil ,,If I remove the exhaust pipe from the head oil just shoots out. So I tore it down again, checked the rings, gaskets, valve seals etc... I put it all back together and still burning large amount of oil. What is up with that.

There's four ways into the cylinder: through the rings, head gasket, valve stem, or intake.

Does your bike have an emissions system that would vent the crankcase gasses into the intake? If so, you might look there.
