Here are some pics of the led's that I put in my headlights. They are spliced into my turn signals. Since the flushmounts that I have arent very visible from the front, I figured that the LED's in the headlights would help. They sure look, and work great!
I bought the LED's from Autozone. They are made by www.jamstraight.com They are designed to replace an existing standard bulb. So all I had to do then was buy two wiring harnesses for a 194 bulb. The wiring harnesses cost about $4 each. The pack of two Hyperbright Amber LED bulbs were about $10.
I removed the side fairing panels and located the spot on the back of the headlights where the european bikes have the running lights located. Each LED is a cluster of 4 LED bulbs so I took them and dipped the tip in some water based paint and touched it against the spot where the lights go. This marked the location for drilling. I then selected a drill bit that was slightly smaller than each bulb ib the cluster and drilled very carefully into each marked spot. The LED cluster fit so well that all that penetrates the plastic is the bulb itself and there is no need to secure the wiring harness.
Well enough babbling, here is the photo. The lights are much brighter in real life and do not bleed into the headlight since they are forward reflecting.
