dude... what? U too short?? hehehehe..local boy disease.... I don't know about lowering it... have heard of some ppl. doing it, but.... I had to shave the seat on mine... take it down to that place right next to cycle sports by the dole canery theaters.. They took a good like 2 1/2 inches off mine, and still have enough padding..
Bbuy lowering links, 20 min. install, lower center of gravity, I'm happy with mine...

Are you picking on the noobs again Silver?:D
Yeah im short but i wanna lower my bike so my girl can ride it too and she's way shorter than me.....hey island what is that place called where you cut your seat? and how much was it?

mred...how much was the lowering links?
hey zxr, i just recently put on the lowering links from diamond powersports. they were 65.00 plus shipping. there are 3 holes in the link, i found that the first hole which they claim is stock height is really lowering the bike 1" and the second hole is 2" and the 3rd is 4" but in actually the second hole is 3" and then 5". another solution is there is a 1/4" spacer above the rear shock you could take that out for about an inch also. how tall are you and how tall is your girl? my wife is 5'3" and has the silver zx6r and we lowered her's 3" and she can sit on it and the balls of her feet are touching on each side. the bike handles just as it were stock at that height but however you are going to have to take off about an 1 1/2" off the kickstand. i didnt have to lower the triple clamps at all. im considering going more on hers but i think i might have to then lower the front alittle. i will let you know more when i get a chance.

And ther you have it...[:M10]

The place is called Aloha Upolstery (spelling) right in back (on the right hand side) of Cycle sports in Iwilei.. mine was $40 cash... My finacee shaved her R1 over there as well, and she is like 5' 3".. With my bike shaved, she can side mine fine.. she can't flat foot it by any means, but when yuou are at a stop, your ass is half off the seat anyhow...
Thanks for all the help....i just might buy those lowering links and also shave my seat......

Hey Island...do you know if Revtek has lowering links?
