Hey guys, my girlfriend just purchased a 06 636 and it is much too tall for her. I ordered some lowering links and were gonna take the back down like that. My question is can you tighten the upper triple tree and clip ons enough in the front to make them stay. I noticed that the forks taper and are thinner for a couple of inches. Any help is appreciated.
THanks, Gabe

yeah just support the front of the bike and loosen all the pinch bolts. then either lower the bike so it slides down in the forks, or lift up on the front wheel/forks. then torque them all down to spec

when you put everything back together don't over tighten the tripple clamps.

I'm not sure on the specs for these, but from motorcross experience the torque ratings are usually low on those. If you tighten them too tight you'll collapse the forks.
