Dont know if there is already a thread like this. Couldn't find one. But i was just wondering how many military riders we have out there. What branch you serve or served in, rank and job. Also what do you ride. About me

I am a Tech Sgt (E-6)in the 188th Air National Guard in Fort Smith, AR I work in the Emergency Management Flight. Even though it is the guard base I actually work full time on base as a state technician. We are a training site, so i spend a lot of my time training other bases that come to my base and also do a lot of traveling to other bases for training. I have been in 7.5 yrs. I went to iraq in 05 and on the manning document to go to afganistan next year.
i have had a few bikes. A 98 gixxer 600 and a 02 750. I know own a 99 zx7r. My fav out of all three. It is the one in my signature.

Let us know about you. Maybe a few of us are closer than we thought and could plan a ride someday.
Thanks
Rob

Present Military

E-6 at WrightPatt AFB, OH. I've been AD USAF for 11 years now. Heavy Aircraft Mechanic(crew chief) the whole time. I've been around the world, but stationed in North Dakota, Germany, Nebraska, and Ohio(currently). Would love to eventually become a 1st Sergeant.

This is my first season. I picked up an '08 Ninja 250(new) in March. I love it. Around 7000 miles already with minimal commuting. Trying to get the wife more interested, so I can have an excuse for more bikes.

E-5 US Army. 7yrs. Currently station at Ft. Irwin, Ca. Previous duty stations are Ft. Carson, Co and Ft. Wainwright, Alaska. Job title according to the Army is "Health Care Specialist", but we prefer the term "Combat Medic". Right now I'm working as an Emergency Room Medic. My assignments have limited my deployment time. Did OIF 1 with the 3d ACR.

2005 ZX6R.

2Lt in the USAF....6 months until I *finally* pin on 1Lt! As a cadet I couldn't wait to become a 2Lt and now all I think about is promotion to 1Lt so all the jokes will stop...

Logistics Readiness Officer working with a special operations unit in England. 200 days deployed this year but none to the desert. I'll probably get that next year, since LROs get deployed like whoa.

Been in for about 18 months or so and loving every second of it. I enjoy going to work so much that I have sometimes gone in on my days off just to hang out with my Flight. I think I have a problem...

edit: O yea....first bike was a 2006 Kawi 636. Second (current) bike is a 2004 GSX-R 600. When I move back to the states in Aug 09 I'm looking at an 09 Kawi 6R.

Ah C-130s. I've spent more time on C-130s than I care to enjoy...

I've got a 12 hour C-130 flight scheduled in two weeks. Kill me now...

5 years in the Marine Corps Reserves this month. I'm a Corporal (E4) because we pick up slower. I've done 1 deployment for OEF in Djibouti and have 1 more coming up right when I get out to either Iraq or Afghanistan. Hello stop loss.

I mainly ride Suzukis (I know, so kill me) but I've just started getting into racing the 250R's. As a civilian I work for Roadracing World magazine which is one of the coolest jobs I've ever had.

I guess I feel like the old man here. Just over 19 years in the service. 6 years active duty Navy (AT2(AW)) made a westpac and med cruise on the USS Forrestal and USS Carl Vinson. 13 years Army National Guard. Been to OIF 1 and I'm back here again right now. Started as an 11B (infantryman) but managed to get into OCS and flight school and am currently a CPT. I work as the XO for a medevac company flying helicopters all over southern Iraq. Our unit is out of Bangor Maine.

Current bike is a 2009 KLX250S, however, I only bought this about a week ago and since I'm in Iraq, I won't be able to pick it up until I get home (which should be soon!). Last bike was a CBR 1000 and before that was a Katana 750. Got the bug for trail riding so I bought the dualsport. I just bought my son a little 50 so I hope to start riding with him this summer. I used to ride dirt bikes as a kid.

That's it! I love the military and everyone in it. I'm very proud to serve with all of you.
