If when turning on the bike in gear, with the clutch lever pulled, and the bike lurches forward, is that a lever that needs adjusting? If so, any ideas, I'm no mechanic. Thanks in advance guys.

Probably not because my bike will sometimes do that. it is only when i choke it when cold or when i have just reved it up real high. but im like you, im no mechanic and i dont know if that is what it is or not, but i think that is what it is.[:M121]

It's because the oil is cold and thick. The clutch plates stick together after sitting a while. Start the bike in neutral. You can rev it in neutral and pull in the clutch, that might get them un-stuck. Most people just live with it...
