I have a new to me 1998 zx6r with 14000km, great bike, just did my first oil change. I used 10-40 synthetic kawi oil, as the previous owner always did, and I had oil pressure within 2 seconds on initial start up after the oil change. After my oil change my Cam chain rattle is now louder than ever....I already had a new cct (2001 model with the rachet lock instead of screw type) on order as I had some cam chain rattle previously happening at idle. Would the fresh oil be the cause of my increasing cam chain rattle, due to being thinner *fresher*
My bike makes the rattle on and off at warm up idle, 1500 rpm and under and then compleatly dissapears after the temp guage has hit 4 bars or the throtle is applied.

any input would be greatly appreciated.

Well my new CCT (2001 version) came in today, so I slapped it on....and sure enough that fixed the rattle, my bikes purrin like a first date.....the old cct must have decided to compleatly roll over the same day I changed my oil, just my luck....

all good
