does anyone know if a motor from a zx9R will go right into my zx6r? I think it will but i wanted to know if someone could give me a definate. My bike just isn't fast enough. I can't keep up with everyone i ride with. They all have r1's and gsxr1000's and stuff like that. I was gonna get rid of my bike and get a gsxr1000 but i like my bike and i owe to much to do that, it's just not fast enough. A friend of mine that lives back home has a zx9r and he says he keeps up with r1's and gsxr1000's pretty good. Any comments on whether this is a good idea or bad would be appreciated. thanks
damn, are you sure? That really sucks. I was hoping you would tell me it would bolt up no problem. I may have to sell it then. Is there anything i can do that would give me a fairly large gain in power besides putting it on the bottle?
How come you can't keep up? Are you guys only riding on the highway or something? I rode with a 929 and an RC51 the other day, and didn't have a problem keeping up in the twisties, and even in the straightaways, they didn't get too far ahead.
it's a 2000. yeah we do alot of highway riding. if i don't have my rpms up like around 7 or 8 grand they will pull real hard on me. I just starting checking into an accelerator kit. does anyone know anything about them? i know it will shave on my top speed. but i usually let off around 130 anyway i've only had it past that twice. i hit 120 to hit alot when riding alot but only for a few seconds. also i kinda want to start doing some wheelies and stuff but i've been told you really gotta work the bike to get it to come up in 2nd and 3rd. and it's bad for the bike. I know wheelies in general are bad for the bike but i don't want to blow the tranny up either.
