Hello all,
I very surprise of the high rates for insurance for next season. I'm currently calling and seeking rates which are totally retarded. The lowest rate I've recieved is $2497.73 on my 03 ZX6R and I'm sure I could get lower. Does anyone have a broker or insurance company that I could to inquire on?

Here's a list of insurance companies all over Toronto GTA and outside the city.

This list is by no means complete. Please hit reply to this thread and add to the list if you know of some other company that does it as well!

Also, I'm not reviewing the places, just listing their contact details. Everyone's situation is different!

I've been using PRIMMUM for my insurance for the past 2 years, they give me a great deal of $1200 FULL coverage for my zx6r 99

I'm at $604 annually on my 636 through State Farm, full coverage. Tough to get in these days though, they are extremely limited for new policies, and you have to have car (I also have house) with them.

I will not go back to Primmum after they screwed me around for the second time in three years. Plus, their BEST quote for my 636 was $1195 with worse coverage than I have with SF. I was with them for 7 years with no claims and a perfect driving record, and they still shafted me quoting on the new bike.

In manitoba we have 'Manitoba Public Insurance'. You have no choice but to go with them.
Below is my estimate for full coverage, $500 deductable.

Estimate for:
2003 KAWASAKI ZX600 NINJA ZX-6R
Effective Mar 01, 2003 - 2002 Rates
TOTAL ESTIMATE $1,896

I had Primmum, but State farm was like $800 a year cheaper, if not more.
Only stipulation with state farm is you have to insure a car with them too.

I believe I am at $1500 or so for full coverage on my 02 6R, I am 23 and had no previous experience when I signed up as far as insurance was concerned (other then the MSF course)

In alberta last year I paid $1600 for full coverage on my 636(first year with a bike). This year if they pull my abstract I will definatley be getting [:M43] though. I managed to get three speeding tickets this summer with only one of them being on my bike, so much for a clean record:(

I was with Primmum too, but they just called me to let me know next season, after a 'reanalyzation of the market' they have to jack my price 55%, SCREW THAT.
So i called La Capitale here in Gatineau Quebec and since i insure my car with them too they offered me a full coverage 540$ total, i couldn't believe it.

Spartan, I have full coverage with a mil liability. PLPD is cheap 200+ fire and theft $800 + collision $400 = $1600.00

I'm hoping since I have been with them for many years without a claim they will not pull my absrtact. It hasn't been pulled up to this point so I hope it stays that way.

BTW I got lucky this summer. The one ticket I did recieve on my bike I was going more than double the speed limit, but the cop was kind enough to write it up as 30km over in a 70km zone rather than 60km over in a 60km zone.

Damn I just got screwed by Primmum also, they're taking my insurance from 1200 to 2300 because they were unvalued or whatever, same as Joel 007.

I can't go with La Capitable because they will only insure me if I have a car insurance with them, and my car insurance won't be up for another year... I'd like to give state farm a try, but they don't seem to be available in Quebec. Anyone know any other insurance companies?

Bah, good ol' Primmum (those french f*ckers)...
Just got my renewal;
- have had the bike and have been fully insured for 2 years,
- been riding in general for 9 years,
- fully licenced for 4 years,
- clean record (as far as "they" know),
- 26 yr.old male on an '01 zx6r ...

Ya, that'll be $2,700.oo!! [:M99]

...Living in Niagara is KILLING these rates!! Time to start cancelling some of the coverage and shopping around. [}:)]

PRIMMUM can suck my nuts.

Last years coverage was $1200 on a 03 636. This year they won't renew my policy because I've gotten 4 tickets in the last 4 years. All of which were in my car, and all for 15km under.

INSURANCE = LEGAL THEFT

I think I'm going to stick to the track, it's cheaper.

You'd probably have to go through "Facility" or "Kingsway" both of which offer insurance to high risk drivers (and riders) but you're probably looking at like $5,000+ per year in that case for 599cc or less. One of my buddies went through that last year, pain in the butt.

I'm with State Farm and my bike ins just went down by $300 for the year... no reason why, but it did... an I hate to say this, but I even had a claim on the bike this past September. I even had to call to verify because I couldn't believe it. Then again, maybe its because all my other insurance is with them as well...

If at all possible stay away from Kingsway.... My roomate has been with them for 2 years with no tickets or anything. 2 weeks ago someone backed into his 500R in a parking lot while he was across the street nowhere even close the the accident.

The adjuster hadn't even been to see his bike as of yesterday... yet over the phone they're already trying to give him a hard time over what will and what won't be fixed. The bike has only 10000kms on it and was in mint condition before the jackass backed into it.

I've never heard anything good about Kingsway from anyone who's had to make a claim. Nothing but a runaround and jumping through hoops just to get them to do their job.

I'm with State Farm and have amazing rates (98 ZX-6R-$650/yr 99 HD Dyna Superglide $1050/yr). If anyone in the GTA wants my brokers info drop me a pm and I cant send it to you. I can honestly say for a small office these people go out of their way to help you in any way possible!

Hey gang, just wondering how insurance companies check up on you?

...That is to say; you've had an accident and your policy provider doubles your rates upon renewal so you cancel your policy. Now when going to a new company if you don't disclose that you've had an accident, how do they go about keeping you honest?
I've had an accident and I've pulled my driver's licence abstract and there's no record of the mishap on it... So how do the insurance companies check on your accident history??
