I bought one from Mr. Kyle not long ago. I have an '03 636, and chose the top-mount version.
Installation didn't take long. You'll need t-handle Allen wrenches for at least one bolt. It may be possible to do without, though I wouldn't want to try.
I believe Mr. Kyle recommends ten clicks out. I'm happy with seven on the bumpy Pacific Raceways and eight on smoother Portland International, personally. Adjustments take two seconds, if that, so try different settings to best suit your riding style.
The damper immediately quieted the front end, though not completely. "Enough," at the moment.
Hey Dan, what are the main differences between the scotts and ohlins. slider vs rotary? I plan on racing http://www.mprra.com here in hawaii. our track is rather rough and bumpy on both the straights and turns. I do a lot of cruising with the bike as well. I'd like to know how the ohlins compares with the scotts, as I'm very interested in purchasing one (I Just got paid )
