Only $267 above MSRP and tax, not too shabby. I just worked the math backwards on the quote I got today and I'm coming up with $867 in fees above MSRP and tax, screw that! The sales guy told me $4799 when I asked him what they were charging for the Ninja but it looks like they're adding in an extra $250 to the OTD price now, the dealer fees a few month ago were in the mid-$600 range.$4799 + $477 tax + fees
What is the sales tax where you are from?. In NJ it's 7%. DMV fee for motorcycles is $60 for title, ($85 if the DMV needs to register the Lein) $65 for 12 month registration, $6 for a 30 day temp tag and a one time fee of $1.50 for each passenger vehicle tires. ($3 for motorcycles). The dealer charged us $199 (taxable fee) for prep/freight. He waived the doc fee.I'm back. $5600 was the best he would do OTD and I wanted $5400, so I passed. I found out a few things: A couple of disappointments: The valve check is at 8,000 miles. That's not good news because it is a very expensive service. I was hoping it would be at 18,000 miles like with the 650r. Next, your right heal does in fact seem to rest on the exhaust. I suppose you just have to get used to placing your foot farther forward on the peg. Now a couple of good things: You won't have to remove fairings to change the oil filter. In fact, I'm not sure that would even help. Something like an old license plate bent a little by hand to catch the oil and fit, will go up under the belly fairing, over the hot pipes and allow the filter and oil to slide off into an oil drain pan to the side of the bike. The second thing I noticed right away is you can acutally see behind you in the mirrors.
