A buddy of mine just picked up a 1993 GSX-R 1100; full yoshi exhaust, polished frame etc.. but it also had been stretched at least 2". Proud of his new toy, he kept bugging me to take it around the block until I eventually did. Now I'll preface this by saying he bought the bike the way it sat, but I have never been that unsure of something's mechanics. The streering was horrendous (had to muscle it), and it felt like it had to go strait and thats it, not mention the clutch was messed up, no 2nd gear... Either way, I didn't go over 15mph on it because I felt that I had no control over it what-so-ever. I had once thought about stretching my ZX6-R but not after the way that felt.
Just thought I'd share

The steering on GSXR 1100s always was heavy, especially if they still had the factory-fitted steering damper on them.
