One day it worked, the next it didn't. Is it possible to disconnect the horn at the battery? And where can I get a manual for my 96?

It can get disconnected right at the horn itself inside the upper fairing. You can check to see if the horn itself is bad by jumping to a 12V source.

The service manual for the '95-'97 is part #99924-1184-02. The cheapest place to get them is ronayers.com. I think they are about $40.

I had the same problem on my 99. My horn is in front right about the wheel. I took the wire off the actual horn clean it up a little bit, reconnected it and it worked fine. I think some condensation caused corrosion and it wasnt getting a good connection. Try that first. Took me about 5 minutes... I want to get a wolf whistle for it though! :D
