I'm about to pick up an immaculate (2,200 miles) 22 month old year 2000 (J1) silver and black ZX6-R! I'm sooooooo excited!
I've been driving a GPz550 for the last 13 years (from new) and thought it's about time I changed it.

OHHH I HATE YOU!!!

well not really but I hate anyone who has the sliver and black 2000 / 2002

if they would have released that color here in the states I bet more people would be riding ZX6R's today

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the Board

Though Green is Kawasaki's official colour, I think it looks really plasticky whereas the silver/black and Blue models are more stylish. I'll put a picture on here of me on my new bike in a few days.

Thanks for the welcome!
sorry about my comments about green ZX6's, I didn't realise yours was green!

Currently own a GPz550 but about to buy a silver/black ZX6-R (2000-J1)

No prob, I don't get offended by that, some people just hate the lime green but I think I did a good job with mine ;)

I Picked it up last night! I think I'm going to lose my license, the bike just wants to go fast, it's like a dog straining on a leash!!
My wrists are aching a little as my body weight is now a lot more forward but I know I'll get used to it as it was the same when I got the GPz550.
I felt like "Driving Miss Daisy" on the way to work this morning but once I've got more familiar with it I'm sure I'll be as confident as I have been on the GPz550.

To insert a picture it has to already exist on the internet. You need the full URL i.e http://www.blahblahblah.co.uk/zx6.jpg

You need to surround the URL with;

Silver/Black ZX6-R (2000 J1)

"Come on you R's!"

(That's 'Queens Park Rangers', an English football (soccer) club!)
