need some help fast. ok, on the 28th i took the bike out and it ran fine. let it sit for one day. today i hop on and cant get the bike past fifty. it just bogs down when you roll the throttle on. so i pull it apart. fuel pump is working, filter is ok, lines are not clogged. it did this the first day i rode it after i put new plugs in, then i fiddled with the on/off/reserve switch and it worked for another 100 miles. i pulled the plugs and found them to be lean(way too blonde in color). got any ideas, thanks fellas. and no, its not that one way valve in the gas cap i already checked it and its breathing fine.

im really starting to think that this could be some sort of electrical problem with the black box. the choke doesnt have any effect on performance, thats one of the first things i tried since full choke enriches everything. the guy who works on the bikes at my local dealer sounds like he doesnt know what the hell he is doing. he had no clue as to what i was talking about. maybe ill get lucky and he cant fix it so theyll just give one of those 03 models to replace mine:D im goin nuts though, i let dipshit have my bike and hell fix it in probably a month, meanwhile we have a gorgeous weekend fast approaching.

SW - you probably know by now that I was and still am having the same issues. I did not try messing with the choke, so that is what I am going to do when I take it up to get INS tomorrow, maybe that will clear a few things up??! lets hope so.

ok, obviously i dint try the choke long enough yesterday. today on an 10 mile ride to the local dealer i messed with it and it did run better with full choke. but how would all my main jets be clogged at the same exact time and clogged the same amount(according to the color of the plugs)?? i ran it full choke but when i rolled the throttle wide open it still bogged down. when i hit the stop signs near the dealer i guess the extra fuel had fouled my plugs cuz it was missing on low idle. i turned it over to the guy, hopefully they wont charge me and warranty will cover it[8D]

All the choke thing does is tell you it is probably not an ignition problem. If it runs better with choke it also gives you a hint that it is lean. Lots of things can cause it to run too lean including something as simple as a vacuum line off or cracked.

SW! you are a GENIOUS!

I messed with my choke also..and guess what?! That seemed to remedy it temporarily.

The problem has been found for mine at least, read more in the details on the main post I started the topic on. :D
