[:M7] On the ride home, I was tucked in against the bike under high winds and it felt like my right knee wasn't hitting the tank or side panel like it was supposed to. Since I don't much tuck-in ridng, I assumed it was just a "newbie" feeling of insecurity. Then when I got home and dismounted, I realized the right-side vinyl panel was completely missing. It could have fallen off anywhere from work on either main or side roads. Since it was dark when I got home, I decided to wait until the following day to grudgingly back track.
So I wake up the next day, and it's RAINING. I'm already late to work so I do my best to drive quick enough to get on time but not so fast that I'd miss the panel. Trying to glint through the pouring rain I searched but couldn't find it. Grrr....
The panel was loose to begin with because one of the mounting tabs was broken. I always told myself I'd glue it back into place, but never got around to it. Now it's just a bite in the a$$ which really burns me up. Has anyone else ever lost anything on a long ride?
And does anyone know where I can find another one? It's a 1989 zx600c2 (old, which makes part finding more difficult).
