Hi,
My bike a 98 zx6r. does not want to turn on!. I was warming it up this morning with choke all the way up, just for a little while, and then when it warmed up it just shut off!. I cranked and cranked but nothing!. so I thought that its probably just flooded. So I waited till tonight. well I tried again tonight and still nothing!. I then took it apart and unplugged one of the spark plug wires and put a spark plug at the end of it, and cranked the engine while holding it near the valve cover(metal), and I got NOTHING!, no spark!. I checked all fuses!, unless there is one I do not know about. Please help!, what could it be?. Thanks

It could be all the cranking has drained your battery.

Get a multimeter. Measure how many volst read from your battery, with the ignition off. Check service manual and see if in spec. If not, trickle charge battery per service manual.

If it's not the battery, could be your starter (doesn't sound like it is).

When you started it again, try with a bit of choke and then give it some gas, then turn choke off immediately, using throttle to keep engine firing. Does that work?
