I have a 98 Zx6R and i noticed that my throttle is kinna fishy.....what its doing is, it has like a loose throttle cable i think, it has a little play in it from the point of acceloration....

does anyone have the same experience?? Its not a misfire, i think it has to do with the throttle cable, does anyone know if it can be tightened so i dont get the bit of play when excelerating??

There are actually two cables, one to open the throttles and one to close them. Both have adjustments that can be accessed after removing the tank.

My throttle cables can be adjusted without taking off the tank. the lock nuts and screw things are right under the hand grips, kinda right in front of sterring head.
Mines a 98 6r too.

Mines a '95 and it has those too. There is another set down by the carbs. Don't know why I use the ones that are hard to get to. Just a masochist I suppose.
