I have just bought a new Concours. It has been about 10 years since I last rode my Honda VFR 750. I was a little concerned about getting back on a bike, but it took me about 10 minutes in the parking lot and I was away. I bought the bike to make long cross country trips to clear the cob webs from my brain from time to time. I will make my first trip later this month. It has been so hot here in Louisiaina that I am afraid I will roast myself. I like the bike so far, but it is a little tall. I am 5'11" and I have to be careful when I put my feet down. I wish there was a seat height adjustment. I was looking for a good used Bimmer, but the cost made me look at the Kawi and I decided that for the money, this was a very good deal. It drives me crazy that ALL these bikes are the same color, so there is definately a paint job in the near future. I installed the largest Cee Bailey windscreen I could get. It did reduce the buffeting, but when fully up, the top of the windscreen is directly in my line of sight. I also wish there was a place to put some frame sliders. I had to repair the fairing on my VFR once, and it was horribly expensive. I just mounted a Garmin Zumo but have not used it yet. However I can tell that this is an excellent GPS based on my other unit. Any advice on the care and any heads up on issues will be appreciated. I will forward any problems as well. thanks.
