That is like asking a drug addict if it's worth it? When you are on it, hell yeah, but when you think about the consequences, hell no. I am just recovering from my wreck back in October. Was it worth it, hell no, but I am addicted, so fuck it. Good luck on your recovery.

hey man, im sorry to hear about the crash. Its good to hear that you are in good sprits. Keep the head up high. I would also look into the crash site. Roads here in WI are sooo horrible, if i ever crashed due to road conditions id sure as hell look into pressing charges. But, i hope u can keep ur leg, and hopefully youll get back up on that horse

It's storys like this that keep me in check when I ride. Your story just is going to make me go out and purchase a good pair of riding boots ASAP.

Good Luck, I think Flash has a great idea, I would wan't a specialist to take a peek at it.

Damn bro sorry to hear about your crash. I had severe headshake on time at 115 mph, went full lock to full lock. I shut the throttle, sat up and held on. Luckly I rode it out. I think it was the movement of the headshake itself that caused me to shut the throttle because I sure as hell didn't do it on purpose. Anyways good luck with your recovery and take Flash's advice on the specialist.

Sorry to hear about your crash. Take care and get well soon.

BTW, I have always wondered... what actually causes head shake?

My first bike was a yamaha 600. I made it 1100 miles before lowsiding it in a 30 mph downhill decreasing radius turn I took at 70. Too much bike ? No. Too little experience to be sport riding? yes.

I wish you a speedy recovery and am so sorry about the hard lesson. I got off cheap. Totalled the bike and lost a finger nail. But I learned my lesson anyways...Got a Honda Hawk and took schools until I learned how to ride.

9 years, 3 YZF's, a F3, an SV, and now a '05 ZX6R, several CMRA race seasons later, but it is not the end of my learning. But let these be lessons to you all you don't have to learn the hard way. Go to the MSF school, take some riding/racing schools. Train yourself and be alert. That way you can have fun the rest of your"long" life.

I guess it could be worse, how at the moment, im sure it doesnt seem like that to you, but death or not having any leg use at all.. What kind of pain did you feel, or did it seem so much like a dream you didnt realize it??

You have a great spirit!!

Thank you for sharing your story and the pictures it's a reminder as to what can happen out there.

My first crash was on a IT 125 dirt bike I hit a fence and a tree ripped a whole in my leg I still have the scar that was 23 years ago.

That scared me enough to be very carefull.

I will say this because of all the mocho talk a lot of people think 600's are starter bikes, that could not be further from the truth. You have to respect the sport and the bike.

God speed and blessing on to you.
