I JUST got my 05 Zx6 636 today... rode it for a bit, and now the FI light is on.
It won't turn off. I don't have an aftermarket exhaust.
I JUST got it safetied yesterday.

And even when I turn off the bike, the FI Light is still on.
Whats wrong!?!?

PS. is there anywhere I can find the OWNERS manual? not the repair manual. The previous owner lost it... and I don't know anything about this bike.

when you turn off the bike? are you meaning just the ignition off, or pull the key out off?

or should i just take it to the dealer tommorow

the bike seems to run fine... i rode it for a couple hours with the light on..
but i JUST got the bike today, so i don't know what "seems to run fine" is....

did you buy it from a dealer?

is it still under warrenty?

if its under warrenty, or you bought it from a dealer reciently, i would have the dealer look at it, if not, i would try and search for it your self, as paying for dealer labor aint cheap.

no i didn't get it from a dealer and its not under warrenty
the seller had a VIPER alarm installed on it... well its not really an alarm, its just "security" in the sense that w/o the FOB you can't turn the bike on.

anyway i was looking stuff up, and i am planning to find out what the FI code is by taking the seat off, finding some "clear wire end" that i can stick a wire into, then ground the other end... and after the FI light will pulse X #'s of long lights, then X #'s of short lights... then look up the code in a service manual.
is this the way to read FI codes?
thanks for the help guys.
