Hey guys, traded my Sportster for a Concours. I'm getting used to the differences between a big twin and a liquid cooled four - especially the power band.
I have a question for you. The bike is super smooth in the 2500-3500 RPM range. But I pulled her up to 70mph/5000rpm and it really felt like it was struggling. The engine gets loud and the ride gets rougher.
My question is: is this about normal? I would have thought a de-tuned Ninja engine would be in its "happy place" around 5000 rpm.
It's great on back roads, but I think it would be a difficult ride for say, three hours on an interstate at 75mph.
