My dad has a honda 350 from the late 70's he bought at a garage sale that I ride, but I'm looking at buying a 250 ninja for myself. Been riding for a while but still consider myself a noob. Just started a new job so I'll be saving for about a month or 2 before I do buy something.

Damn Brah! Stick with the Honda and cafe that shiz out! And then save up for a ZX-10R.

nice, ninja250's is one of the best ways to start
or you could use your dad's honda 350
...but I'd upgrade to a zx6r before jumping straight on a zx10r
I like the ninja because of how it feels. It really comfortable for me to sit on. I've gotten on bigger bikes and I don't like how much I have to lean forward to reach the bars. The 250 I can sit pretty much with my back straigth up and down. Its more of a comfort thing for me. I took the MSF class on a GZ250 and did fine in the class but was having a hard time getting threw the DL test. Jumped on a dirt bike and took 1 run before the test and had no problems passing the test perfect. So I've been looking for something specs as far as how far I have to reach and where I place my feet and the Ninja 250 seems to be the closest fit. Eventually I'll get something bigger but for now thats all I need.
