Welcome to the board,

What type of damage do you have? Cracks, Rash, Scratches, where is the damage...

For the LOW BUDGET:
Most of the time you can repair a crack with JB WELD, Plastic Welding, Fiberglass etc... and cover it up with a sticker or touch-up paint

Rash is harder to cover up, depending on how big the rash is you'll have to sand it down and repaint the whole plastic... If its small enough you may be able to get away with touch up paint.

If its just scratched you can usually buff them out with compound.

If you have pics that would be cool to help you better.

For the HIGH BUDGET:
AUTO BODY SHOP and CUSTOM PAINT JOB =)

Hey thanks, Art does a lot around here too =)

About the battery, you really should only have to use an auto charger when your bike is in storage or if your not going to be riding your bike for a long period of time (two weeks)

I am not saying your battery will die within those two weeks, an auto charger will just keep it fully charged.

My 00 is 2 years old (3 riding seasons) and I am still on the original battery which seems to be strong... We'll see over the winter =)

I haven't used my auto charger at all since I took it out of storage (lazy) I did take a few vacations (week at a time) and my battery has not seen any ill effects of neglect...

You can get a Battery Tender for about $50, I went to sears and bought their brand name auto charger (12 volts) for $22 works great.
