Hi guys,
I had an accident on my 2008 Ninja 250 where, due to uneven stretching, the chain snapped while riding and got stuck between the front sprocket and the engine. Once I was able to remove the chain and examine that the top end is functioning properly, I decided to examine clutch assembly. Upon removing the Clutch basket and putting everything back, I noticed that there was too much free play in the rod which attaches to the Clutch handle.
See the Video:

Now the clutch has way too much free play and won't engage.
Does anyone know what the issue might be?

Thanks

I checked it twice with the Manual...
Since the chain being stuck between the sprocket and the engine caused the engine to suddenly drop from 7k rpm to 0 rpm it would seem logical that the transmission might be damaged and so I examined the clutch which is directly linked to it.
