New here, just bought a 2009 Ninja 500R new 2 weeks ago, and have been riding it for a week (took the MSF course first). I love the bike and have 900 miles on it in 10 days, can't wait till it's fully broken in.

Howdy. I'm too far away from you to go touring, but I hope you enjoy the 500. Versatile little bugger. If you haven't done so already, FOG mod, pilot jet adjustments, 600-mile valve adjustment, and fuel filter install are recommended procedures.

Congrats, I also purchased an `09 500R recently. What color did you go for?

Did the MSF help make you a lot more confident? I'm scheduled to take mine next week...I wanted to practice some on my own before the class but so afraid I'll do something dumb at low speeds and drop the bike, heh.
