Odd issue - throttle cuts, for a half second, after the 1st-2nd shift only, no other time. Help!

Howdy y'all. I am having an odd issue with my Z750S.

The bike is running great, and I am loving this engine! It's a fun motor. However, I have recently been having an issue with the throttle. When I launch, and this only happens immediately after the 1st - 2nd gear shift, the acceleration abruptly cuts out. It only lasts for maybe .5 seconds or less, maybe even .25 seconds. But it is unnerving, as it is enough time to shift the weight balance from the rear (under acceleration) to the front (as the forward momentum completely drops off).

It's almost like the EFI is cutting out. It only happens immediately after the 1 -2 shift. It's not a spot in the throttle, as it happens in no other gears, and it never happens at the same spot in second (if I haven't just shifted from first gear). It just happens in that one circumstance. Once in second gear, I can let the idle drop to 900rpm or so, and grab a handful of throttle, and it works just fine. So I think the issue might be related to the shift in gears.

The bike has a new fuel pump, cleaned injectors, fresh battery, recent plugs, etc.

Has anyone experienced anything like this?

Any advice?

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Mileage ?

Is you Idle really set to 900rpm ?

Yeah, I know this needs to be adjusted higher, but I just haven't gotten around to doing it yet. Bike runs fine, but the idle is on the verge of cutting out the engine reaction when I adjust the warm-up "choke" back to normal position (even after the engine is warm). Though I don't think this has anything to do with the aforementioned issue with the throttle.
