With the other "Official" threads being pretty successful, I figured it would be a good idea to have a single ongoing thread dedicated to when and where everyone planned to do track days in 2009. Hopefully it will help members get together and enjoy their high performance toys in a safe and legal environment.

Let's try and keep this thing going all year, I'll be updating my own dates periodically as the season unfolds. And in order to keep things organized, try and keep a consistent format that includes all the vital info.

I'll start things off...

CURRENTLY REGISTERED FOR
Date: Sunday, March 15, 2009

*There are several others that I'm eyeing as well, but these are the ones I'm pretty sure about. Let's try to keep the "wish list" within reason, only post if you think there is actually a good chance you will make the event. Although I'd love to go ride Mugello this year, it probably aint gonna happen, know what i mean?

I will be doing both March 14 and 15 @ Barber. Signed up for advanced.
Cool, see you there. I'm signed up for Intermediate, but I'll probably bump up to Advanced after the first couple sessions. Hopefully we can run some laps together if I'm able to keep up. What kind of times are you running there?

Since I am a corner worked for SoCal Track Days, I am doing several weekends again this year. They are free for me in lieu of actually getting paid for corner working.

So far we have 5 weekends planned out for Pahrump with possibly more to be scheduled at the currently-being-built Chuckwalla Valley Raceway in Palm Desert.

If you want more info for SoCal Track Days, click the link in my sig below.

Well I think I'm the only track virgin that's posted so far. I plan to go to jennings in February or March. I found a pretty helpful video for me.

Lots of advice for first timers going to jennings. Hopefully it'll help someone else, too.

I don't know of any good organizations there, so we need to research or maybe someone in here will chime in.
sportbiketracktime.com is good as well as nesba.com

I don't know which dates i can do just yet, i'm still waiting for a timeline from the dr of about where my foot will be, my goal is to hit the bluegrass track day w/ you flojoe, but i also live by a few tracks that spooner goes to so i'll prob do some with him, we should try to get a forum trackday & have EVERYONE go do it, but i don't know how to set that up, oh & i'll be likely going to the gap around may sometime :D (well the first trip anyhow :D)

195. I believe that they have open track from 9-5. So no sessions just come and go as you please. Thats why they limit the number of riders on the track.
$195 per day. Open track from 9am to 4pm. No sessions and please, have at the very least ONE track day under you belt with another group.

Because it is no sessions, you are on the track at the same time as some really fast guys (we had Jason Disavlo out there in November, OMG he is so damn fast!!!) and we want people who have some track experience and don't freak out. Everyone who rides with us are cool and obey the rules. We have not had any major incidents in a long time.
