just a question, is there suppossed to be a washer between the engine and the plug? i noticed this the last time i changed the oil before and its that time again so i want to put one on if there needs to be one there.

Yes, there is supposed to be an aluminum washer there.

no kidding? mine's never had one as long as I've owned the bike.... I've never had a problem

Your dealer probably forgot it at the first service. I double checked and the new ZX-6R's still are supposed to have it. You can get one at an auto parts place. Get one that is marked 12 or 1/2 inch. The original one is aluminum but I have used the trick ones that are metal with a rubber insert.
