I found an exact match for the 03 6r, and rr. It is honda part # 15410-mjc-000. I put my filter on today. This is by no means a new model filter. Just a different filter with Kawi on it instead of Honda. Exact same match in every way. height, width, depth, thread and all. Hope this helps some of you out! No more waiting for back order filters!

Don't know what to tell you about a 98. I took mine off my bike and took it to my boy up the road, and he hooked me up. He came out with the exact match. If you have some good techs in your area, I am sure they can match it up for you no prob![8D]

The old part # for the oil filter for '98 ZX-6R is 16097-1067 which has been superceeded by 16097-1070. You can get them from ronayers.com for about $8.
