So I am kind of a dumb ass and ride my 05 636 off curbs, well I hit the oil drain bolt on a curb, band it was ripped off. THe oil pan is shot now, and I was wondering if anyone knew if a 2004 oil pan will fit on a 2005,?

I actually had the lower faring off because I just changed the oil, and the faring was filthy, so I wanted to clean it off really good before I put it back on. Good thing I am lazy.

THanks for the ronayers link.

You could take the oil pan to a qualified welder and have it repaired.. which would probably mean having to drill out and repair the oil drain plug threads too... which is tricky. You would drill out the threads before the welding is done. The welder will build that area back up so it can be re-drilled again, then rethreaded to the correct size threads. However that may warp the sealing surface of the oil pan, applying that much heat to it. yeah... Ronayers.com lol sorry.
