Need a bit more info...

Is that a slip on canister, or a full exhaust system? I'm assuming slip on because of the price.

Also, what bike do you have? Year, engine size, etc.

Usually, slip on's don't require very much jetting changes when you compare them to the stock muffler, but that's only if the jetting was spot on with the original muffler. If your bike is bone stock, then re-jetting might help it run a bit better.

Oh yeah, technically, you don't actually NEED to buy a full-on jet kit. You can buy a couple jet sizes smaller and larger than what is currently in the carbs, and a small bunch of washers, and get almost the exact same results for a hell of a lot less money than a full-on jet kit.

BC.

I didn't do it, I swear.
And even if I did, what makes you think I would admit it to you?

I have an 01 ZX6R. The S4 is a slip-on exhaust. And my bike is completely stock. The guy at V&H said that it may spit or backfire a bit if i didn't at least put in a stage 1 Jet Kit.

I went with the V&H S4 TITANIUM. I got a pretty damn good deal too. I got it for 330 shipped to my door for MAW. Everywhere else wanted at least 370 for it without shipping. I called V&H and they said that I should at least put in a stage 1 jet kit otherwise it will backfire and run like crap. Is this really necessary? Where is the cheapest place to get a stage 1 kit or since i'm doing it anyways should I go for a stage 3???
