Hi guys, I've got a 99 ZX6R and when I ride in ordinary conditions for about half an hour my radiator boils over. Has anyone experienced this before? There is new coolant in it and the fan is kicking in, but maybe its kicking in too late, I don't know?? It gets really warm, really quick so I'm trying to stay off it until I find out whats going on so I don't warp a head or something. But its killing me not being able to ride it!!

It could be a couple things.

1)make sure you don't have a big air bubble in the cooling system. If you drain all the fluid out, it should be pretty close to what the bike is supposed to have (I'm not sure what it is on a 99). If you get less, you probobly had an air bubble.

2)The rad fan may not be spinning at a proper speed, might want to get it checked

3)inside of rad could be corroded, causing less coolant to be able to flow.

4)Thermostat or water pump could be acting up

I'm sure there are several other causes, but thats what I can think off offhand.
