After 3 months of Dainese finding a cow in the field, killing it, skinning it, drying it, dying it, making the pair of pants, then putting it on a boat across the ocean, my Dainese P. Delta Pelle pants have arrived! Worth every penny imho. Fit just right (was worried they wouldn't since I couldn't try them on at the store) and quality is top notch. Armor is where it needs to be and doesn't move around nor is it cumbersome. Coming from a cortech leather pant pair with hip and knee armor, those would feel like I was wearng a spacesuit! If anyone is in the market for a new pair of riding pants, and has the means, try these new Dainese P. Delta Pelle pants if you can, they are very good. I had the unfortunate opportunity to test their "rain" resistance twice last weekend, getting caught in a torrential downpour. Held up great. I had more water in my boots than had seeped through my pants. Since you may wonder about size, I tried on a dainese size 52 pants at the store (it was some other Dainese pant model as the delta's weren't in the US yet) and those were huge. According to some sizing charts I've seen, size 50 would correspond to a 30-32 waist. I am a 30 waist so I got a size 48 since I didn't want them big. I still have room on them! Pricy yeah, and you have to wait an eternity for them, but once you have any of Dainese's stuff, you'll never want to go back. Now I gotta start saving for one of their jackets to mate with the pants......

I second the Dainese quality thing. You can't find anything better short of getting it custom tailored by a race gear specialist.
