I've looked at the instructions/advice for stripping paint from the wheels whilst still on the bike. It doesn't mention anywhere about taking precautions and avoid damage to the rubber.

Is this an issue? I've contacted Bridgestone, for example, who don't know! I've just fitted new BT012SS', and I'm reluctant to be a guinea pig!

Has anyone had any problems?

Thanks

I did it with my tires on and had no problems that I can see.. after I was done I took some steel wool to make sure I got everything off of the tires themselves because the aircraft stripper is some nasty sticky goop and it will make the stripped paint stick to the tire among other things...

If you're worried about the skins tape them up. I would imagine paint stripper would dry out the rubber.

Dan...comfortable enough with his manhood to ride a 600.
