that is a really nice bike&color. how much was it to have it painted? did you paint everything, including the rims, or just the plastics or what?

i painted the plastic and tank only... i did all the sanding myself and had my brother paint it so all i paid for was the paint which was very expensive... i paid $315 from www.color-rite.com

i had the bike painted the stock pearl yellow.. i removed all decals to make the bike one solid color... i plan on putting decals on it at some point but i love the look of it now so it wont be anytime soon.. i also installed flush mounts in front and integrated my rear signals into my brake lights... also removed the mudguard.. the picture is the greatest but i will have a better one soon..

You couldn't get that finish with aerosol cans I wouldn't reckon.

It's not the speed that kills, it's the sudden stop...
Are those LP Flushmount V's on there? You find they're bright enough FORWARD of the bike?

NICE BIKE! So, that's what mine would like if I re-painted.... could you post a pic of the rear?? Did you purchase a fender eliminator or just chop your mudguard to the trunk???

yeah you couldn't get that kind of finish with an aersol can... yes those those are LP V's and i think they are very bright.. i have read some posts on here that people dont think its a good idea to change stock signals but i think these are very noticable.. if a cager can't see them they must be blind... and yes i just chopped the mudguard off.. i would like to get an undertail but can't afford it right now.. ill get some better pics next week when the weather gets better..

Hey t15... check out my post: Boy Racer is done polishing. You should be able to see what a solid yellow tail looks like.

I've also shaved the passenger handles in the rear to make it one smooth beotch.

...just got my OPP racing carbon hugger in today too!
That bike looks seriously sweet! Gotta love those Yellow 6R's :D

Do you guys all remember the early 90's Gixxer's with the really gawdy graphics splashed all over 'em... pink and purple and yellow and red and just about EVERY color under the rainbow? I just think it's hilarious how the trend is going to solid colors and really understated graphics and they look FANTASTIC. To me, the '03 Kawi's are perfect, very little YUCK graphics...

I think maybe Ducati is the trendsetter? The 916 was understated and beautiful... those early 90's Gixxers are NOT...

yeah i like the plain look a lot better than stupid ass graphics... i got the idea to paint mine all yellow after i saw The Whitmores bike on this site... i just loved the look of his all green 6r... as soon as i saw that bike i had to do the same to mine..i will eventually put custom graphics on mine but not sure when cuz i love the look of my bike as it is..
