I attended a track day at the Texas Motorsports Ranch in Cresson, Texas on Aug 4th....man what a blast! Here is a pic of me through the horse shoe. I never got my knee down, but I did drag my footpeg several times. I would think my knee would touch the ground before my friggin' footpeg, I guess I need to work on my posture/lean. Going to the track almost makes me lose the urge to ride on the street.

Beautiful pic. Wallpaper sized pics rock, yo can do so much with them. Bike looks nice too. Glad you enjoyed your track day.

Hey nice pic Slapshot. Nice gear too, makes the overall appearance of rider&bike look great. And congrats on your first trackday.

But it looks like you're leaning your body the *wrong* way, and that's dangerous. Check out this link:

Once you ride on a track, street riding just isn't the same, is it?[:p] I did my first one in april, and I was instantly hooked, even though i lowsided. Now, almost at the end of the season (over here anyway) I load the bike onto a trailer or van to take it to the track, and only ride on the street to go to the "local bikers hangout" cafe about 3km from my home. Still 3 "trackevenings" and 2 trackdays to go before winter, so it's not over yet[:p].

That was an excellent link, thanks!! I'm going to try some of those techniques at my next track day in October, same track.

Yeah I know where Shaw is....I spent almost 7 years stationed at Charleston AFB. I didn't want to leave Chucktown, my wife and I absolutely loved it there, but the Air Force decided I'd been there too long and sent me to friggin' west Texas :( No offense to Texans, but it's just not my cup of tea.

I'm impressed with the quality of that pic... no motion blur at all... can even read the Kawasaki lettering clear as a bell... (how clear is a bell anyway?)
There was a professional photographer (Hart Photography) and he had an 18....that's right 18 megapixal camera. I got to choose my favorite 7 pictures for $35.00 and he put them on a CD for me. By the way, for all you Texans, here is the website for Lone Star Track Days:
