Quick question has anyone polished the whole wheel? I have removed the paint from the lips of my wheels with aircraft paint stripper but I am wondering if it would come out good doing the whole wheel. If some one has can you tell me if its worth it?

You don't have to do anything more than remove the paint on the wheel rims to have them polished. The center part of wheel, the spokes and the hub are rough cast. Some people have polished them but it is very labor intensive. You have to sand down the rough finish first.

Most people are too lazy to do that to the whole wheel, and just get em chrome dripped.

I only did the outter, cause I like the look of the green in the middle.

Getting them chrome dipped, you may be looking at a pretty penny too, keep that one in mind. If you really WANT the whole wheel polished, and you have the time and ambition, I would do it myself, but be prepared. It is either going to be a LONG job of sanding or just cost a ton and get them dipped.

yea man i polished my lips on the green machine and it looks bad as hell. i wouldint recomend the center, its too much labor and time

I've heard of people polishing their rims by putting them on some sort of lathe... anybody else tried this?

I'm sure I could take it to my roommates work and have the guy's laser cut it!

Oh wait, that sounds like a bad idea just like the lathe.
