Hi all,

While rewiring my 1976 KZ400 Special today I came across what I believe to be the rectifier. I've already found and reconnected the regulator. So my questions are, is this the rectifier? How many wires should be going to it and where do they connect?

Also, I've seen several threads about converting the older separate regulator and rectifier to the newer combo style, is that worth doing? and if so are the does any one have a wiring diagram for it?

Thanks,
Ethan

that is, in fact, the voltage regulator. Stator output provided from the 3 yellow wires. You know where the rectifier is? You could, with some slick wiring ingenuity, wire in a Mosfet R/R (regulator/rectifier)

Bring it over to my garage, we'll get 'er done. LOL.

Thanks for the quick response, sorry its taken me awhile to get back.

You know where the rectifier is?
Well if its not what I took a pic of then no, is it the rounded black rectangular thing? If not then I'm guessing its missing

Cheers
