Bike sat for 30yrs. cleaned and rebuilt carbs, idles perfect but does not respond to throttle being turned, blubbers then revs on high rpm, drop down to idle runs fine, turn throttle and blubbers and wants to die with choke on or off plus gas on prime or on reg. Installed new plugs and new carb boots. Got any ideas- frustrated. Norm- need help- Thank you

Did you clean out the petrol tank?
If the bike has sat for that long, it will most likely have rust inside it!
Also, you may want to replace the petrol feed pipe to the carbs - these can perish and small rubber particles can migrate into you carbs?
Because the bile idles OK, it sounds like it may be a main jet issue?

CV carbs? Are slides free and able to rise? And no rips/tears in rubber diaphragms?
Emulsion tubes have been removed and cleared?
30 years a long time, those carbs will need some intense, focused clearing of individual circuits...and confirming each is actually clear and able to pass fuel. Then there are air circuits as well.....
And the float system is fully functional?

The old, often read forum comment "carbs are easy" is total BS. They are complicated devices, can be tough to figure out. Your 30 year dormant carbs a perfect example.
