alright,
Well folks about 3 months ago I wrecked my bike on a high way going fairly quick, well yesterday I started working on it, replacing various covers that were ground down like crazy... Good news is that I got it running, radiator and oil are all filled to proper levels, So here is my question,

I am not riding the bike yet since it is stripped down for repair, I think the subframe, forks are bent. I am not sure how I check if the front forks are bent, or the triple tree, I read previous forums but am confused about the pane of glass technique.
Also I would like to know if there are methods of checking for straitness on the subframe and frame, such as measuring points, basically i would like someone to tell me a recomended checklist on what to check for straitness on the bike. Any help would be greatly appreciated,
aim (aol instant messenger) me if you wanna talk to me about it,

The pane of glass thing really won't tell you if your forks are bent. You need to take them out and roll them on a smooth, flat surface. As far as the frame and subframe are concerned, the best way is to take it to one of the alignment specialist but you can look for wrinkles and kinks and such. In the old days all they did was put it back together and kinda sight along the bike to see if the back wheel was lined up with the front wheel. If the frame is bent it is probably bent near the steering head.

Not sure what model your bike is but over here if you drop a bike with an alloy frame and it bends you throw it out, and if you bend the main frame, the sub frame and the forks.... well with the price of parts i'd scrap the whole thing and buy a new bike! Now if you have done that much damage to the frame you must also have destroyed fairing pannels, side covers, maybe the fuel tank, indicators handle bars... oh dear give up on it.....if it runs use it as a stunter!

Although if you have done this to the Pink Scooter I would make every attempt to fix it!
