HI everyone
I am thinking about buying a 99 T reg Ninja ZX6R its in very good condition very clean, a few scuffs on right hand side but over all very clean. I have still got a few months of my 33BHP restriction left to run, I am 20 years old so the dealor has said they will restrict it and remove it free of charge when I need to do so. It has 20000 Miles on clock first 2 service stamps are there but no more, is this a worry. The bike looks in great condition and it may be that the last owner self serviced it. It has a cat 1 alarm/immobiliser and is datatagged. dealor wanting region of/close to £3995.
what do you guys and gals think of this?
What are the things to look out for? wil it drop apart on day 5 of ownership or something like that :-(
advice/tips appreiciated,
cheers

Hey Liam,

I just recently bought a 99 zx6r and found the following link really helpfull in making my decision.

One thing i would definately check is the steering head bearings. This model tends to get very notchy after a while. So either ride (slowly) or wheel the bike while turning the handlebars from side to side. If it feels smooth on the outsides and notchy in the middle, add another few hundred for new bearings.

Check out the link. It will give you a lot to think about.

Hope this helps. :)
