Northeast Motorcycle Crash Kills 1
September 30, 2006 - One man was killed in a motorcycle crash in northeast Philadelphia Saturday night.
Action News was on the scene on Bustleton Avenue at Hellerman in northeast Philadelphia. Police say the motorcycle crashed into the back of an SUV.
The driver was pronounced dead at Einstein Medical Center.
Man Killed in Northeast Philadelphia Motorcycle Crash
PHILADELPHIA -- One man was died Saturday night after his motorcycle collided with a car in Northeast Philadelphia.
The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. at Bustleton Avenue and Hellerman Street and temporarily closed that intersection.
Police said the victim in his 20s was headed north on Bustleton Avenue when he crashed into a car that turned in front of him.
Another driver was sent to the hospital.
Police are investigating, but as of now no charges have been filed.
Police identify motorcyclist who died in Saturday crash
Police yesterday identified the victim of a fatal Saturday motorcycle accident as Yaroslow Got, 22, of the 8100 block of Burholme Avenue, Northeast Philadelphia.
Got was northbound on Bustleton Avenue about 6:30 p.m. when he collided with a 2005 Honda SUV at Hellerman Street, police said. The Honda was southbound on Bustleton and turning left onto Hellerman when the motorcycle struck it, police said.
The Honda driver was identified as Patel Jatinklmer, 22, of the 1000 block of Northeast Avenue. He was not injured, police said. The investigation continued yesterday.
Motorcyclist is killed in collision with SUV
A motorcyclist was killed after ramming the rear of an SUV shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday at Bustleton Avenue and Hellerman Street, Northeast Philadelphia, police said.
Yaroslow Got, 22, of Burholme Avenue near Henning Street, was pronounced dead at Einstein Medical Center at 6:46 p.m., said Lt. Tom Godlewski, of the Accident Investigation Unit.
The driver of the 2005 Honda SUV, southbound on Bustleton, had made a left turn onto Hellerman and was struck by the 2003 Kawasaki bike, police said.
