Anybody out there leave an R1 or GSXR 750 in their dust on the 1/4 mile? I have on my 2001 zx6r. It probably has something to do with driver ability, but it makes for great bragging rights.

I blew right past a `01 750 gixxer on the 1/4 mile. I think there was a .8 second difference. The driver makes all the difference. I have a `98 zx6r and i did 10.9 on my best time (wéo reaction time)

We had a drag race from a standing start... me on a '98 6R, a buddy on a '02 6R, another buddy on a GSX-R1000...

1st - '02 6R
2nd - '98 6R
3rd - '02 GSX-R1000

The gixxer is a beast, but it is WAAAAAYYYYYY harder to launch smooth and inevitably we get a HUGE jump on him in the 1/4 he can't seem to make up. Even more pronounced coming out of turns btw...

I'd like to try it against someone who is better at launching the Gix 1k... supposedly their 1/4 time is quicker in ideal launches... not in my real world...
