I just got a new 98 zx6r (well it's new to me...). the bike is in mint shape and runs great overall. The guy that owned it before armoralled (not a word - I know) the tires. My question is how do I get off?

Secondly, there's a rattling noise when the bike decelerates. I've heard two opposing opinions on this: 1)that it could be the cam chain tensioner 2) that to noise is endemic to all zx6r and nothing's wrong.
It's my first zx6r but not my first bike.

Anyone care to weigh in on this?

Armoral Yuk, degreaser will remove it but make sure that you get rid of what ever you use, as it can be just as slippery. Cautious riding will get rid of it eventualy.

As i have said before elsewhere if you are worried about noises get a professional opinion from somebody you can speak to in the flesh, at least you have some comeback if his diagnosis is wrong.

Saying that both my 98 and 03 make noises here and there, I ignore them.
