I went all over town today trying to find a piece of black vinyl to recover the seat of my "new" '81 750 LTD. I found some at JoAnn's fabrics for 35.00 a square yard. Frustrated, I decided to stop in at Goodwill. I thought I might see if they had a pair of gloves I could ride in. I looked (they didn't), then decided to check and see if anything in the store could help with my seat cover. A ladies size small Faded Glory jacket made of Polyurethane (I think) caught my eye. I paid 4.99 and an hour later had my old nasty tape/rip/ugly original seat cover off, and this new one on. I had one advantage: my seat has hooks underneath for your cover, so staples were not required. This material was nice and stretchy, and easy to work with.
