When I press the rear brake, the light in back doesn't seem to light up...

While I was fixing something around the pedal area, I noticed behind the foot stay, there's that electrical screw in thingy (the thing you use to adjust the light timing) that goes into the stay. Is there supposed to be a wire that goes from that to the pedal to detect compression of the pedal?

ya its a pull type switch. So you need something hooking the switch to the pedal.

What type of cable is it stock? Gauge cable or what?

Its basically like coat hanger wire but thinner. There is the switch that has the metal rod sticking out with a hole in it for the wire to go through and then attaches to the brake pedal.

So WTF do I need to get the damn rear brake working!? Can anyone show me on a diagram?
