Is it necessary or advisable to reset the ecu after installing a slip on exhaust to adjust/learn to the new air flow? Anyone have any information on this?
good question and i also like to know. ECU is probably not very smart to learn to adjust to the new mod. i know the twin-turbo 3000GT when you do these kinds of mod then all yo do is reset the ECU and it will relearn it.
Your bike cannot self-adjust to tuning changes. To get the most out of your new pipe, you need a fuel injection adjustment unit like the Power Commander, and a custom map.
Definitly no!
If you change only the slip on you don't need to setup ECU. It do itself autonaticly after 7 minutes.
I've asked it to my Kawa agency and it was his answer.
