It just started doing it today. I accidentally ran a tank of regular through it. But it was doing it after I filled it up with 93. The funny thing is I was just cruising too. I was by myself and I wasn't beating on it. If you run it at a constant rpm(around 5 or 6) it runs real rough and you can feel kind of a viberation. It almost feels like when you are running out of gas, but it's full. Could it be a plug gone bad? I took them all out and they look, OK. I will have the new ones tomorrow morning. I am not positive, but I think they have never been changed. It has 5500 miles on it. Also what does it mean if the bike back fires and shoots a blue flame when you shift(it done since I got it.) The bike it a 97 ZX6R. The only mod is a full Muzzy exhaust. Thanks for the advice in advance.

My '97 used to run like that. I just had the carbs cleaned and synched and now it runs a lot better. You might want to try some good fuel system cleaner. Something might be clogged in the carb since it has so few miles.

It's nice to see someone else has a '97. It seems like everyone on here has an '01 and up.

That's good to hear! Those quick fixes are amazing, however I never seem to have any of them. I'm glad your bike runs well now though.
